Glennallen dentist Dr. Brent Shedlock was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. He graduated from Bartlett High in 1988 and received a Bachelor of Science from Arizona State in 1991 with a major in Business Management and a minor in Finance, placing consistently on the dean’s list. He then took two more years of premed courses at the University of Alaska, and ultimately graduated from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1999, at the top of his class (even after missing an entire year to fight non-Hodgkins lymphoma). Dr. Shedlock received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1999, again on the Dean’s list. He received the Bernard Levin award for removable Prosthetics for being the number one student in that field. He was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.

Dr. Shedlock has been practicing general dentistry in Glennallen, Alaska since 1999. He opened his dental practice, Glennallen Family Dentistry in 2015, and serves patients of all ages and performs all aspects of dentistry. To continue excellence in dentistry, he believes in being a continuous student. He has attended hundreds of hours of continuing education courses toward this end. Dr. Shedlock places an emphasis on cosmetic dentistry, dentures, root canals, oral surgery and implants. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Alaska Dental Society, and the Mat-Su Dental Society. Dr. Shedlock always enjoys all that Alaska has to offer from hunting and fishing to river rafting and snow machining. He relishes his time with his family and extended family on vacations to Mexico or Hawaii or simply boating at Big Lake in the summer. He has been married since 1994 and has both a teenage son and daughter.
